This here is some funny stuff. Thanks for posting!

My list of stuff that I would rather pay someone else to do.....or if it's an option I would opt to have a 6' 5", 250lb guy just kick my ass, then do the following:

    - Any kind of roofing
    - Breaking up and hauling off an old concrete porch
    - Moving
    - Staying in the delivery room while my wife has a kid
    - Watch "Gone With the Wind", "Fried Green Tomatoes" or "Devine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood"

    (I HAVE had a 6' 5", 250lb guy just kick my ass....for reference)

HAHAHA, how did this thread de-rail like this? All I did was tell the OP that flip flops suck..............I assumed (apparently incorrectly) that 99.999% of all men agreed. [/QUOTE]

Because changing tires is boring. 99.999% is kinda high. Think of all the people in china and india that have never even seen a shoe. What would they think of what some people here in america wear on their feet? Besides sometimes shoes are impractical. Would you really walk down by the beach in swimming attire with boots on? Or the pool at a hotel? Or just hanging out in Hawaii. Who'd look fruity then?

    Funny stuff tho.

Thats why I pay the guy down the street to do it.

I never bothered to consider them, they might as well live on Mars.........come on were talking about people relevant to things I care about, you know Hot Rodders.........most other people arent worth the powder to blow them up. :D

Muttley doesnt do beaches or places that arent paved. ;)

Don't have a wife anymore. Cost me $50,000 to get rid of the first one! That's how I learned it's cheaper to pay for sex.

A guy I know did that. When the ratchet strap broke, it really bruised his foot. Good thing he wasn't wearing flip flops.

Flip flops aren't traditional footwear for traditional hot rodders. :)

Now are there any non-flip-flop-wearing tire changers anywhere near southern NYS willing to take on work? I got 4 wire wheels that need new tires. Cash waiting!

The list of things you're better off paying for grows with age - in fact it grows exponentially with age. I'm 56, and in the last couple of years my list has grown considerably because I'm not "down with the struggle " any more as the hippies used to say. I'm looking for the path of least resistance and I'm proud to say so.

No, they arent........this is the kind of "dude" that wears shoes with parts of his feet exposed:

My time is too valuable to me. I don't do tires, paint or upholstery. Everything else is pretty much in my list of "I can do it. Or, "I'll try it!".

I remember watching my dad change tires in the driveway, with the tire and rim sitting under the front bumper he would use a bumper jack on the front of his truck and use the foot of the jack against the rim sitting on the bead to break them down. Than spoon them on and off with prybars than roll them over to the gas station to air them up. I'm lucky enough I do this for a living at least in that aspect I don't have to pay anyone to do it.

Breaking a bead wearing work books works some times, I'd really like to see this tried with flip flops.
