I can not get this bad ass mofo outta my head! I think my projects are going to get shuffled around, and I'm going to look for a '33-'34 5-window body...anyone know the details?...chassis and suspension?...drive line? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNHWxsebfMQ&feature=share Fuel Coupe's RULE!!
I know theres a blown Hemi under the hood set back around 20'' probably has a slipper clutch and a Dana 60 rear. Very little suspension travel. You dont want a 33-34 there ugly Next time your out this way should stop by and check mine out

Tommy, I definitely wanna check your's out! Big Daddy, thanks for that link to the other HAMB post, I missed that, I actually have the magazine with the article that Kiwi Kev posted, never put it together that, that was the same car! I need to go back and read that article again!
When ya build and need a driver, I know this skinny lil jerk from Flint that isn't afraid of a few hp's.....
Yea to me this car is the BADDEST hot rod ever. Les Hawkins lived up the street from me when I was a kid and I still can't get that thing out of my head. Wish I could own it. Chili Phil is there anyway of me seeing this car again???
D ROD...in the pic you posted, it must still have the Hilborn on it, still a full hood... ...and DEAN, in your pic, the scoop is poking out, so must be the blown version...any idea of the timeline between those two pics?
As a 34 lover, it's one of my all time fav's. Got the Modern Rod cover on my wall. How'd the hood paint deteriorate? Rust through or an engine fire (looks as though flames blew out the side vents)?
The 15 Oz Coupe will make more passes, someday. The guys involved are all over 70 and money's pretty tight these days. But, the car is still together and they plan to take it out as soon as finances permit.
that Foothill Speed Center was short lived after Skips Divorce. after he Rolled his Willy's on the Bridge by the Rose Bowl with a 16 year old gal in the passenger seat. I guess his wife didn't have much of a sense of humor
The Mooneyham and Sharp 554 car AND the 15oz Coupe!!!! Two of the coolest drag cars ever, in my opinion.
