Looking for help to find info on a 1955 gasser called Satisfaction, I just bought what was left of the great old car.

I bought it from John in Pennsylvania, the guy he bought it from was in New York.

It is the car in the far lane of this video, this is the only info I've found so far...

    Thanks Mike

To get it back to the way it was in the video.

    No new paint!

Keep it as it was back in the days of its glory.

Was a 4 speed and a big block Chevy we think.

Olds 5.12 gears it says on the housing.

That's way I need everybodys help to find the facts about it, before I can start this.

Actually, alot of "gassers", used the stock Ford transverse spring suspension, axle, and split 'bones like that...

This is going to be like Abe Lincoln's axe when you are done I have a feeling. You know the story about that axe. "This is Abe Lincoln's axe, the head has been changed twice and the handle has been changed three times but it's Abe's axe that he split rails with.

I can't say much though I think I have one front fender and one rear fender still on my 48 that were part of it when I drove it to it's first event as a participating vehicle at Tulsa in 73 For the nationals. Everything else has been changed one or more times since.

So let me take you back a couple of years to where this story starts.

Myke tells me he had been working on this '55 body laying in the pasture for 9 years.

The farmer (bought it new) street raced it most of it's life. He decides to lighten it in the machine shop on the farm and guts it down to these pics be low. Then it sits there for many years. Till one day he needs the room and threw it in the pasture.

Myke said he seen in the pasture and he finally talks farmer into selling it to him (9 years later).

So Myke said he heard the I have a lot of gasser stuff (I save up for a '55 wagon I had just sold). Now he wants to buy the gasser stuff form me. I said OK, but at anytime you can't finish it, I get first dibs.

Week or two later he calls and asked if I wanted to buy that '55? After 9 years why would you sell it now? "Divorce" So I did and I've had it for a couple of years. Not sure what to do with it.

Then I find a chassis on e-Bay, that said it was from a gasser called "SATISFACTION". So I Googled it and only found that video.

So I call John and told him what I wanted to do with it and said he had the other parts, so I bought it.

Now looking the the help of the H.A.M.B. to find what engine and other goodie it run back in the day. So when it gets here (still in PA.) I can start the build.

The grey body is a 150 Business coupe, pretty rare car, was the original body scrapped?

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I do not know the car. After viewing that video, the next video was two '55s racing at the same track. Maybe track them down.

    What track is that?

Contact Deuces High here on the HAMB, Scott can tell you all you wanna know bout the car.
Car was built in Morristown Tenn by Dennis Hefner, Scott got it up and running again just a few years ago and was making some wild passes with it at his Drag Bash Shows.
    Good luck with the rebuild.
