i will let this go for free but it MUST NOT GOT TO THE SCRAP YARD and a small hot rod trinket related trade would be appreciated like a rat fink item or "garage art" would be nice but is not required

Wish I was closer. I don't know why but I just like all motors. Be fun to build a special stand for it and let people be able to see it running outside of the engine cavity. Come on someone. Pick this up. Not all hot rods have to have big engines.

yea i'm scratching my head on this one, i'm giving away scrap money just to preserve the engine (it would be a real crime to melt it), once they are gone they are really gone as i dont think the aftermarket will ever remake the main components and block, there is a decent following in vintage performance 6 cyl I figured i would have a line of people wanting to pick it up

  9. If you weren't on the other side of the country I would have grabbed it by now.

Watch, you'll get no takers, scrap the thing so you're not tripping over it every day... and then everyone will start bitching about you throwing away a perfectly good engine.

I probably ruined the market for you. It took me months to find someone to take my free excellent running 56 223. Perhaps there was only one guy in the country that needed a free good running 223 and I found him first.:D

GA to MA, I could buy one for the gas it would take these days.

Good on ya for not letting it go to scrap.
