In order for this bike to work both of them should be about the same weight....... something she certainly would not admit or even take lightly!.

I was thinking the exact same thing Don!

Watched 50 first dates a few days ago and she looks an awful lot like Drew Barrymore!

One of my favorite sources is doing a search on e-bay, through post cards. You can find a slice of americana from across the country, without ever being there. Another source is "Bing Images" find an interesting picture by searching a topic, and it can lead to a town or city historical society with a lot of great material, you may not otherwise find.

Yes, she looks a lot like Drew, but I think she looks very much like Betty Hutton too:

I've ridden a modern one, and the riders' weights do not have to be similar. A Buffalo, NY area man makes these and I rode one with him about 20 years ago. I was convinced we'd tip over, but the bike works incredibly well. When I saw him ride solo, I was dumbfounded.

No, Betty Hutton was quite a bit more "Trim", & a very desirable pin up during WWII----Like Betty Grable.

I've never written it up, but did get 4 pics of the Dave Anderson "Pollution Packer" H2O2 rocket crash at Charlotte Motor Speedway in '74 (that killed the driver and two members of a dragster crew who were offloading their car in a place they had no d*** business being ...I blame the track officials as much as them). It was a helluva' mess...one of the downtrack crew was completely bisected. When I have some time, I'll try to describe this event and post some pics. Racing is inherently dangerous, but I'm not a fan of rockets in particular.

I would take a GAZ A or AA or why not a GAZ M1.

IMO, Hutton was better looking than Grable.

this cars are to narrow and don't have the proportions right, you still can find Pobeda's and Moskvitch 400's in Luthuania for a reasonable price (~1200$ driver with need of rust repair), but Gaz A or M1... impossible, even in Russia

Nope, that is Pine Grove park in Port Huron Mi. Looking north up the St.Clair river into Lake Huron. The bridge is the Blue Water Bridge, opened in 1938. The bridge is between Port Huron MI. and Sarnia Ontario Ca. A second bridge was built next to this one in the late '90's. the smokestack on the left edge of the picture near the bridge was at the Peerless Cement co., now home to a swanky hotel. This is about a half mile from my house and I can see the bridge out my front window. My dad worked as a U.S. Customs officer there from 1938 till about 1976, except when he was in the service during WWII.
