This car was pretty perfect when I first got it, no patch panels no rust no dents.....It was pretty nice.

As I stated before in the other thread I think it's awesome!!!! It sucks to cover up that engine with a hood top but I always think Model 40's look better with a hood then without.

Tell us a little about the engine. Is it an original Ardun Conversion? Any cool back story on how you found it? How'd you get hooked up with Rudy?

Looks like it's going to be a stunner!!! How about showing some of your other cars when you get a chance ;)

Cool, Rudy has to be my favorite builder out there. It just seems like every car he's done that I've seen has been spot on and perfectly aligned with my tastes. Shit I didn't know I could love a '40 Merc that much until I seen the Hoffman car. He's just got a great eye for this and the talent to see it through. Definitely inspiring to say the least....

I'm just starting to collect things for my '33 and I've got a lot of stuff to get started so it's nice to see cars like this popping up to get me going. My ultimate find would be a S.Co.T blower but that's outta my price range but I'm trying to go for an earlier 40's build so really it'll make more sense to use the intake that I have.

    Keep us posted!

Are those ArDun heads originals or modern repops?

Very Cool Ride! Love the Ardun. What do you have for a trans? I'm subscribed, need some ideas for my 34 5w Coupe.

We are in process of a one piece hood as we speak.......Original hood welded into one piece and spring loaded and locked so it will not rattle or move at those very high speeds......no sides and a small rise in the center to help air flow with the Ardun.....
The Blisters need to be cut for the heads to clear and then rolled over, I will post pic's when done with them.....Still trying to get a handle on the posting pic's....Soon

We've GOT to be kept up to date on this one. Any time Rudy is involved your guaranteed the end result will be stunning. I've always perfered '33's over '34's (just think the delicate concave grille is better looking) so I'm going to keep my eye on this one.
