    Baron,
Thanks. Had a feeling you'd dig the chop. Some might say "too much". Oh, well. The chop is actually a copy of Dave Jackson's coupe, if you know that one. He was nice enough to let me poke and grope his car for all the details and measurements. Unfortunately, that IS the current state. I had it on the road in 08 for our Bonneville trip, but it's been slightly neglected the past couple years. Still needs some finessing on the door tops, side glass, paint etc. Blew the dust off it last summer and had it out a few times. Hope to spend some more quality time with it this spring. Time will tell!

I do know the car. Fell in love with it the first time it at the Ty-Rods meet (many yrs ago). Measured the windshield height and went home and chopped my 36 3W 1/2 inch more. Never "too much". :D

Mine and my dads '35 5 window

It's changed slightly over the years. Pictures are arranged oldest to most recent. Sorry for poor quality

First day home after driving to texas to pick it up.

What a great looking 36! Love the chassis. Nice and low and you've got the motor/trans up nice and high out of harms way. Keep up the great work.

  18. What a time capsule...reminds me of my Dad's friends hot rods back in the early 80's. This is nostalgia for me. Thanks for sharing.

  24. Last pics before de-construction. Had just replaced 50 Merc rearend with narrowed 9 inch 1/2 ton p-up; fitting nicely within fenders (still needing slightly smaller tires).

This puppy followed me home (on a trailer) from an auction. 8BA flatty, 5 speed, 9" chunk and juice brakes.

Sort out a few little things. Nothing major but I do happen to have a Motor City Flatty with a blower on it.
Everyone who tells me to restore it, I tell them I'm going to clear over the bird doo!

What a beautiful car. Good luck with it . Over the years I have grown to like 35 's over the 36's.
