Hey all you cats and kittens. The Roundup is just around the corner and I'm really stoked about something special for my annual drawing. As most of you know,I try to give away something cool at the HAMB meet and greet every year. The Norm Skulls have been a great hit in the past, and Norm is still by favorite carver. However, I'm doing something different this year.

Our very own Tommy's Cycle has teamed up with an incredibly talented wood carver from Russia (Dmitry) and they are making some of the finest hand crafted shift knobs on the planet. I'm sure you have seen some of their work on the friday art show. I have been working with them for over a year now,and the knobs they have done for me are pure art. My only regret is that I didn't just put them on a retainer for a couple of years so that I could get my hands on everything they create. Several months ago, I asked Tommy to design a very special knob for this years give away. You are gonna blow a gasket when you see it. It makes me smile every time I look at it. Tommy and Dmitry also designed a very cool stand for it and they donated it to the cause. It will be ready in a day or two and I'm sure Tommy will be happy to post up some photos to wet your whistle.

The rules for the drawing are the same as every year. You can get a free ticket from Ryan at the Jalopy Journal booth or from me at the Roundup. Ryan will have the knob all day friday at his booth for you to drool over. The drawing will be at the Saturday HAMB meet and greet. There is no money involved. This is just my way of giving a little back to the HAMB community. Since the economy is still ruff for a lot of folks,I'm going to offer a 500.00 cash prize if you would rather have the cash instead of the knob. It will be up to the winner to choose his prize. If ya want the Benjamins instead, this puppy is going on my shelf. See ya at the Roundup.

I do not want to give anything away..... not just yet. But I thought I'd give everyone a little taste how this guy will be outfitted. Check it out. To give you perspective, this is just big enough to fit on the end of your thumb.............YES! just your thumb:)

Okay, Here's a hint that will make you go "WTF?" How many Old Timers, (actually anyone 50 or older), remember riding one of these as a child or something similar?:D

Larry you forget I've seen you eat. I don't think I could afford the groceries.

  15. I had one. But mine was just a broom stick with a horse's head jig sawed by my Dad during a lunch break at work.

Okay, no more Horsin' around:) This guy was finished last night. All the woods are their natural color, no stains. Walnut, Gray Walnut, Maple, Kingwood, Gabon Ebony, Redheart, 6061 Aluminum & leather blend together to create this product. We think he's pretty cool. Doc's gonna hate lettin' this one go but he'll make someone really happy. What a guy:). I hope everyone here like's it.

Just curious, must be present to win? I'll be there Friday, but probably won't be able to stay through Saturday.

You could get a ticket from Ryan Friday and drop your stub in the drawing box. If you can't be there Saturday, you could give your ticket to a buddy who could attend the meet and greet in case your number was called.
