What da hell is the world comin' to????

    I hear you Paul!

Dr. Tyrat, I like your truck a lot. I like the color. I like the chassis. I'm not one for chrome smoothies or calling chrome smoothies chrome reverse wheels. But to each their own and that. You certainly did a great job. And I'm a sucker for anybody who paints in their garage (much to many wives' chagrin, lol).

But quite honestly, there is absolutely nothing on that truck that is really hamb material. Let's be honest here.

The hamb is tolerating a lot of street rod type stuff that used to get taken care of pretty quickly. Where is zman when you need him, hahaha!

Beautiful truck. Fits right in on the H.A.M.B. Best thing I've seen on here for awhile.

You made it look to easy...but what a Great job you did..very very cool stance, color, en..everything is just cool!

  22. I absolutely love the knee knocker type trucks and totally dug the black wheels and the primer and would have been pleased to roll something that cool. Then seeing the finish product...WOW impressive. There are people that just have that "Look Style" and vision going on. I wish I had that talent. Fantastic Job. Damn.... I would give up my wife for that truck.....

Ah ... chit I would give her up for a pinto at this stage.

    I'm kidding. Love the truck.

I copy & paste this off the about us page on top of this forum.

The Jalopy Journal was formed just a few years later to spread the gospel of traditional Hot Rods and Kustoms to hoodlums worldwide… We wanted to be the voice of the working man, a tool in the toolbox of the guy that does it himself, and a place where citizen journalists could show the “big-time” media a thing or two. We haven’t done it all yet, but we aim to in time…

Thought I was in that category.

Thanks for the cool words about my home built truck, Jesse

I assume you're responding to my post. Let's be totally honest here. There is nothing traditional about rack and pinion, belly button crate 350/350 engine/trans combo, air bags ('50s cadillacs notwithstanding), and frame on the ground "stance".

That said, I like your truck a lot. You did quality work. I can really appreciate that. But it's a much better fit on 67-72chevytrucks.com than here. Every other truck on there looks like yours.

I'm not generally one to pick nits, but I am just seeing a lot of clip/bags/etc. builds on here lately.

Dr. Tyrat, I hope you don't take offense at my post. None is meant for sure. And I do like it (didn't I say that?). But still being totally honest, just because you did it yourself in your own garage doesn't make it a traditional hot rod or custom.

In my opinion it's a kustom for sure...

Thanks for Keeping it real, I appreciate that. No drama from me I get your point.

    ditto, very cool looking truck.

  30. I dig it, very simple and little chrome to boot. I usually gotta have chrome bumpers at least but this thing looks killer
