Got the front bumper and grill mocked up tonight and sprayed some CLR on the hood I picked up to let some of the rust disolve off of it hopefully. Wife has plans this weekend so I should be able to get the hood stripped, and start welding up the seam, and also get the rear garnish mouldings all done up.

I got my passenger side wing window all mocked up tonite. Thanks to a thread with some great tech in it from IB customs.

Also got the skirts I just picked up off the classifieds here mocked up on the car. I think it brings the whole thing togeather. A little mods will need to be done later but it gives the idea of the flow with them now

The car looks even better in person. Thanks for the tour and the encouragement to keep going on my project.

woah, this thing is killer! Can't believe it when I go back to page one and see that pile you started with! I planned on painting my car around the same color! 2010 Nissan color by chance? I'm in LOVE with that rear bumper! looks like it belongs there! Keep up the good work!

Finally got my hood all stripped down and decided to have some fun with the louver press. My uncle helped me out thismorning and we had it done by lunch. Time for bodywork on the hood now.

    This looks killer.

I am in the process of chopping mine and I am planning my wing windows the way that you did them.

Did you have to move the pivot at the top part of the wing window to make them work? I was reading if you dodon't move it they will bind. I was wondering if I would have to do that or not.

    Thanks ..

If I understand correctly, your car is a 53 that is now wearing a 54 grill and bumper. What, if anything, besides the pan did you have to change for the 54 grill and bumper to fit?

    Thanks, spasecadet

On the wing windows I did not have to move the upper hinge pivot. I did have to rotate it slightly to get it parallel with the bottom pivot. I will do a tech thread on the wing windows after tech week is over since there seem to be some steps I had questioned on other threads.

For the front clip the front fenders are different too, along with the valance pan, bumper, and grill

thats funny because I have a 54 that I changed the front clip over to a 53 :)

and PLEASE to a tech on these wing windows as I am stoked to finish mine. the way I was trying it was slow, difficult and a lot of damn work...

your way looks clean and simple!

Bummer i missed this until today.
I really really like it. Everyting is just like i would have done it myself, the flared skirts are a great touch too, remind me of the Drag'n'shop cars, and the tail lights are damned perfect.
cant wait to see it done, and i kno i will love it.
