Some update pics, car is in primer, going to block it out , reprime and then set body on new chassis, so we can wire it and start the interior.

Old chassis is out from under car, I coated the bottom of body with por 15 and seam sealed everything, painted firewall, and running fuel lines and doing exhaust this weekend. then Next week should be ready to put new chassis under body.

here's the really nice old chassis, man some people shouldn't work on cars, this is some od the worst I've ever seen, and they couldn't weld, and the new chassis that my buddy clay and jim dale built. this should hold up to anything the owner wants to dish out from the hopped up 302 and 5 speed. it now has 4 wheel disk brakes also.

What is the front bumper on that Chevy? Is it '54 Chevy, or something else? That ridge toward the bottom makes me think '54 Ford but I know they are too narrow??

NOPE, it is a 54 -56 ford bumper, I liked it more then the flat ft. bumper of the chevy. adds more weight to the ft. end.

I'll be damned - I have one of those hanging in my garage rafter and I thought it would be too narrow for my '51 Chevy. Live and learn. Thanks!!

Not to speak for him, but I know Jeff is busy so in case he doesn't get on here for a day or two. The car is now getting upholstery done. I have a few later in the build pics but I think those are being saved for now. I will look and see if I have any that I've posted to Instagram or other social media, if so I'll try to post them here.
