I bought a '32 2 door sedan, last Friday but didn't say anything 'cause I wanted to have it home and take and post pics, as they say "pics or it didn't happen", BUT I have been unable to post those pics!!! I gve up!!
Maybe Chris, Jade Idol or T-Money can do it for me?!?!
Anyway, it is an ex-race car so she's rough!!! Has a late flathead, tri power, and a 3 speed side shift tranny. Has been channeled about 5 or 6 inches, and the motor is set back about 2 feet!!! You sit in the back seat to drive!!! The frame horns were hacked off and "something" grafted and hacked together for a front suspension, of which I will repair most ALL of those issues. It came with a good replacement firewall for the hacked one, and a 4 inch dropped '32 axle extra. I need to get a complete set of garnish mouldings (I was told I can get them in fiberglass as steel is just way outta my price range)! Also need a dash and a portion of the cowl where it was cut out for a blower.
All in all I am ecstatic and can not believe I have a '32!!!! While most want a roadster or coupe, I wanted a sedan!!!!!
I know it's not big news to most of you, but it is to me and wanted to share !!!
I'll try again on the pics, but....?????
    Ken

  3. Congratulations! Since you gave a good description of what you bought, what are your plans for it? I hope you will get pictures posted soon. The natives will get restless if you don't.....

Yes, I know I spelled it wrong, actually it was this silly auto spell on my kid's IPAD thing, but I am unable to change the title for some reason!!!

A chopped top with that much channel won't leave very much cockpit room if your planning on driving it very much.

  13. That pretty cool! When was it built/ raced?

NICE Score!!!!! Drive it as it is (if possible) and decide what you want to do to it. Personally, I think it looks good the way it is - an older drag car build is always cool in my book.

The pics make it look WAY NICER than it really is! I NEED to UN-channel it some, get the suspension addressed, get a floor in it, and figure it out from there. I have some good friends that I am sure will help me along the way.
As for the racing "history" there are a couple of differing stories, so I am unsure what the truth really is, but people I have talked to lately can trace it back about 20 years or so and then the "truth" gets "fuzzy"!
Oh well, that really doesn't matter to me!!!! I want a true traditional '32 sedan HOT ROD!!!!!

  19. Nice. You'd have to be one skinny cat to climb in between the steering wheel and the B pillar. Crazy set back!

Nice find. Like the above poster said if you chop you won't have much headroom if you leave it channeled of course.

Good luck with your project, looks pretty good to me.

I was going to ask you how it feels to own a 32 of your dreams, but I suppose the "feeling" is running down your leg.

    Get to work, slacker:D:cool:

Yeah you have to take off the steering wheel to get in and it STILL is a tight squeeze, and I aint skinny

Larry...The check is "in the mail" Ha

Thanks, didn't know that others would get excited about my stuff!!! Glad you like it!!

But MAN O' MAN '32s are a whole new world!! I've have always liked them and looked at stuff here and there, but since never thought I'd actually own one never truly priced stuff, other than knowing that generally, '32/ 3/ and 4 stuff is high, I am having some "sticker shock"!!!
Oh well, gotta just work more overtime!!!!
Thanks again all, glad you like my new Hot Rod, I love it!!!!

Welcome and don't send 3 window Larry any money. He'll just waste it on car parts. However if you send it to me I'll make good use of it at the local "Outback". lets see a big old steak and a couple toddys, yep send me your dues. LMFAO
