I will take some pics of it for your. If you look for some pics on line you can find them. There is a good example of one that Brad Masterson chopped for rod and custom. Than there is also one on Riks sight that Bill Hines and Brad chopped in Kansas.

NICE! I think the 1950 Chevy Fleetline is one of the best looking fastbacks around. They look good just sittin' still.

Car looks killer. Like Erick said get a build thread so we can follow along. Did you need to replace your trunk floor pan? If show some pics that will be my next adventure.

I looked threw all my pics I don't see any that are close up but here is a link to how I did it. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_...n-customs/chopping-a-49-fleet/koa0382jpg.html

There are alot of pics on the internet. Just do alot of studing the chops. If you go for it just be ready its a big job. It takes alot of time in the quarters. I took my time I have a few spots that are 100% but this is going to be a daily driver so I am not worried about it.

Here is a 49 1/4 we did. I just tack it up then weld it solid with the torch. The great thing about welding it with the torch is you have a chance to hammer and dolly it around when its still hot. It also flattens out the welds and is much easier to grind.

Thats how I cut mine. Damn Brad you have it mastered now. I can tell by looking at that one it turned out perfect bet it didn't need hardly any filler. I can see how it would be nice to hammer and dolly it around when the metal is hot. Post some more pics of that one Brad. I love to see how you do work. When you chop a top it just lays where it needs to go and you hardley ever need to add or redo the sail panels true master of the chops.

Yep I do all the work in the pop up. I kinda wanted to do a 50's custom also like the kids would of done back in the old days in a old building with a dirt floor. But I am also in cal and the coldest day would of been maybe in the low 50's. I think I am going to paint it in there also. We will see when the time comes.
