I just found out from F&J that it's probably a 303", not a 324" I'm not an Olds guy, and was just relaying what I was told. I can't wait to get it home. I'm going to meet one of the former owner's at Deuce Week this weekend.
Ive seen pics of this car on the hamb before, i cant remember which post of where but ive deffinately seen it before on here. Neat car! jeff I went and looked in my pics of 32s on my computer and found these of it i downloaded of the hamb.
Wow. I thought porn wasn't allowed here. You have got to be the luckiest man on the planet scoring a car like that. What an extremely rare find, never sell it, because if anyone were to change it, that would be criminal. Love it, I,m in awe.
I just found out today that my friend Chris, in Tx., was offered the car in '08, while it was in Steve Babinsky's shop in N.J. Small world.
thats a cool old ride, can you just jump in and drive as is? i'd like to see more of the trailing arms, from what i see they looked stamped on the back end?
I'm speechless. What a great looking coupe! CONGRATULATIONS!! Can't wait to check it out. You taking it to the V8 swapmeet at Fitchburg Airport?
This is out of site man......Very heavy old hot rod. I would love to see this in person. Blows my mind how these keep showing up every so offen on the HAMB....DAM sure wish I could find one of these treasures befor I pass. Ya got to dig the intake & the Olds
I plan to leave it as is, but make it safe to drive. I did ride around a parking lot in it, but it wasn't registered. I'm in the car restoration business, and know the danger of trying to 'improve' things. Take it slow is the best method. At 6'2" / 205 it's a tight fit the way it's configured now. There's only 1650 miles on the odometer, which judging from the car's condition, is entirely possible. This all came about because I was going to look at an old Porsche Cabriolet for a customer, and happened to ask the broker if he knew of any Hot Rods for sale. He said he didn't know anything about them, but oddly enough he knew of a local guy who had bought a '32 Ford to help a guy out. He wasn't a hot rodder either, and only wanted to sell the car for what he had in it. I was there the next morning. Wherever I go I ask about old hot rods. They're still out there!
Approx 25 years ago give or take I seen that car at Sumners Motorcycle shop in Fresno CA and a guy bought it for $15,000 and it went east?
