You and me both. I hope so. I'm pretty happy at this point. I still have the dash. I plan to keep it until the car is finished, just in case. As you probably know, the dashes in the shoebox woodies are woodie-only as they are more narrow that in the other cars. I probably won't be putting the front group on for quite a while. I'm trying to get it ready for upholstery next month. My friend, Dave Putman will be doing the upholstery. And, I plan to get it running before putting the fenders and hood back on. Once again, thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. It really helps keep the motivation high.

Coming along very nicely, I love the varnished wood it looks SWEET! This is gonna look so nice when it is done. I am loving it. If for some reason you need someone to drive it around for a while and "break it in" man do not hesitate to give me a call.

Thanks guys. Here's a minor update. I got the upper quarter panel wood on. The stainless at the belt line was kind of a bitch. I also got the dash hung. It's the 48 Ford dash that I stretched 4".
When I first saw the wheel color I didn't care for it but now with the blond wood it looks right. So classic.... You're gonna have woodie groupies.
I'm still not sold on the wheel color but the car IMHO is probably one of the most eye catching woody's I have ever seen,,the body color along with the choise of wood colors is stunning! Beautiful car. HRP

Thanks, guys. Well, I finally got 75% or so of the wiring done and was able to complete the dash assembly. You may recall that it's a 48 Ford dash stretched 4" to fit the woodie. I found an NOS speedometer and had a friend update the clock with battery operated works. I put a set of Autometer gauges into the original 48 housing. I'm using a La Cara steering wheel modified a little and a 49 Ford horn ring modified a little more. The gold in the horn insert is what my friend Steve Welsh of Artistic Collision Center matched for the dash, garnish moldings, and the wheels.
I have been a huge fan of yours since first seeing the Hupster. I guess you only know one way to build cars, fabulous and totally unique. This wagon is so beautiful, the dash is one of my all time faves. The gold accents with the body color and wood, aye carimba!! Congrats pal, ~sololobo~
