Really good work on the wife's car. Mine wouldn't go for the 'Ole Lady thing... but that's you're deal.
Nice work, nice choice of grille and modifications, like the Buick taillamps too. She's a lucky lady. Don't forget the seat belts, you'll want to keep her very very safe.
NICE CAR! I really liked that ribbed trunk, put it back on! You have a really nice gathering of different parts on that car, dash and heater look cool!
I haven't posted on here in a while but I have been working on the car, I painted the frame and basically got it together and I should get the body finished and painted by the end of next week. The motor (Merc flathead) is apart and I need to relieve the deck and then send it off to the machine shop. Here is a picture of the frame and when I get the body painted I will post it. I really want to get it drivable for the Jalopy showdown in May but that may be wisfull thinking. Also are some pictures of it sandblasted and DP primered and the license plate deal. Anyway here is a little progress.
Well after 2 years I finally got paint on it, the flash made it look brighter than it is. Now come's the fun. updates to follow.
Update, finally got pictures the right size to download. Painted it last week and have started to put it together, need some parts to finish the dash, started the wiring and the motor is in the machine shop now. I would like to have it at least driveable to the Jalopy showdown, I did not have a car there last year and I don't like being a spectator.
Update, I have been working steadly on the A, all of the insulation is in, most everything painted, bolted down and started wiring, brake lines run everywhere except over the rearend. fuel tank and pump and line run. I finished up the Buick drum conversion, I need to make the steering arm before I install the other drum but I need the pitman arm back from the platers to make it. This car was actually a Canadian car and I found a 1943 Canadian penny in it when I was tearing it apart so I installed it where the windshield crank would have been in th e 38 Ford dash. The Merc flathead is at the machine shop, who knows when I will get that back. Last but not least is my next project that I brough home but not until I get this one done. I need a left hand 33 window regulator and a 34 right hand window regulator. The inner panel was replaced on the right door with a 34 inner.
Gettin closer, I want to have this drivable for the Jalopy Showdown. Need my motor done, tranny rebuilt, finish the brakes, door glass, wire motor and finish fuel line and some odds and ends and I might make it.
This is just absolutely beautiful!!! I love the color, the chop, the engine choice! Can't wait for another update!
good lookin A,hope you make your deadline,I really like the 33/34,what are your plans for that badboy?
