I'm bringing my "56 wagon back from the dead, wrecked a year ago by a hit and run drunk driver. It's on my dime so it's slow progress but it's almost ready for paint.

My goal with this car was to make it as quick as possible but retaining the original stock look and presentation. This includes original bench seat and column shift, painted steel wheels with poverty caps, cast iron exhaust manifolds, cylinder heads and intake with a Q-jet (& no power adders) and single snorkel pontiac air cleaner topping things off.
Last year ran a consistant 1/4 mile ET of 12.71. I have tweaked on it a bit this winter and expect to be in the 12.5's this summer.

Nice to see another ragtop headed for the streets I love these cars as you will too. The whole line from 42-48 coupes sedans etc were a great design for GM cars. Rocky and FlyinBrian were great helps to me on this car.

What a great idea. They are out there, or you could build one based on a 389 or 400. If you have any questions how to do it, am glad to help out.

  25. There are lots of Pontiac fans and many Pontiac events but, only one that is exclusively Pontiac powered only. If this was not enough, the following day is a nostalgia day that allows all brands.
I wish to welcome all Pontiac fans and nostalgia fans to my events in Phoenix at the end of March.

If you pick up a current copy of High Performance Pontiac or Smoke signals magazines, there is last years event coverage. It is a great way to be with other Pontiac fans and we have great weather too!

I don't have a Poncho but I have been wanting one lately. It seems like they are going to be the next big popular car to build. (Thats not why I'm wanting one.)

40two, it's a non hamb friendly '95 f.i. lt1. My dad thought it was too much work to get the wiring figured out; but I didn't think it was too bad. I had more work in making the grill/hood center strip.

My 55 at the Meltdown Drags. Brand new fuel system in this winter should help it go down the track better. I have all the side trim to put on as well.

  30. Been working on a 58 Starchief for way too long now. About 10 years .(That's an old photo by the way. Probably about 3 years ago). Currently it's "resting". Got sidetracked with a 63 Suburban.
