Sweet, I want to see how you build your side shift linkage, I have the same trans, looks like there is going to be some weird bends in the rods. Good luck!

It's cool to see your car transition to another phase. I hope you make it in time so we can see a video of it headed to LSRU!

    It's all looking good!
Rather than cutting up your firewall to recess the motor why not reverse the firewall? This way keeps it looking almost original, you may still need to use the shorter parts on the front of the motor but together it looks a hell of a lot better than a hole!

This is going to be a great thread. Thumbs up for your plan of a full fendered Coupe.
Can't wait to see those surprises you were referring to!

  15. Why are we cutting the firewall? A 59ab will fit with out firewall mods.....barely, but it will fit.

Whoa! Been in Miami forma few days on work. Lots of feedback. Thanks for the encouragement. Won't be cutting the firewall. I plan on using a crab style distributor rather than the divers bell and hope to use a generator style fan

Awesome, Jason! Great to see a V8 going in... I have no doubt you'll have it together in time for the Roundup. See you guys down there!

Congrats on the tear down, and looking forward to the build! That dash came out incredible! Keep up the great work!

  21. I didn't know you were doing a build tread! But now I'm subscribed! Can't wait to see this in person! The dash looks great! And the flathead is going to be awesome! A banger is cool but a nice running flathead sounds sooo sweet!

Now get back in the garage and get that thing done for LSRU! And keep Anderson busy to that he will build another sweet hot rod! I think a hot rod is in my future but I think I've got several years before we get there! But the latest Rod & Custom cover helps keep the dream alive for me and Flathead29!

Looks good! No need to cut the firewall. It's a tight fit...but it will fit.

  29. Very cool! The car was great already but the Flatty will look sweet in there. I absolutely love the dash. Not trying to be one of the sheep I liked it when I first saw it not when I saw everyone else liked it. lol :D
