Forget titles and all that B.S. Get it and figure that stuff out later. That is why stuff gets scraped. Them:" you want a free couple cars? Come and get em" You: "well I'll take them but I need current paperwork first" Them : "f it, I'll call the scrapper. They'll take them and pay me" Get it?
If the kid is into old iron, I wouldn't feel right taking them from him for free like that. How pissed would you be if your wife or someone gave away your '49 Pontiac because they were tired of looking at it...
Man, if this is true, I'd be shocked. I thought those days were LONG gone. I had a yard of old VWs given to me for free once, but that was 25 years ago when scrap was worth nothing and you had to PAY a yard to come tow away your heaps.

I couldnt believe the shape the Pontiac is in. The has got some rust but the rust you see in the pick aint as bas as it looks, The metal is still perty solid...
I have to apply for lost titles for both cars. They were bought by their son(that still lives at home). He was tinkerin with them and couldnt get either to be a hotrod, lost interest... Mom and Dad told him he had to get rid of them or they would, he told them go ahead and get rid of them, hes not even interested in them anymore and the parents wants thier space back. I am MORE than happy to ablige...

The father is retired Navy and they have a son thats a Marine. I made sure to ask if either of the cars were the Marines and they assured me that they were not. I also asked if he happend to be a sniper and they said no, so I got that goin for me...(I dont have to wear my vest and kevlar to drive the schoolbus...)
Man I hope they gave you plenty of bucks to haul that old junk away!! I'll take that old Mustang off your hands since it's not HAMB material. That son should have his balls cutoff to allow it to get all that surface rust. Is that a 289 HI PO badge I see on the front fender?? I really like the Poncho too I had a black '52 back in the '80s.
