Projects Model A 3W Coupe Build (pics inside)

came out pretty cool and all, but I am of the opinion that if you wanted a 3 window model A, you could have just bought a plymouth coupe!

Got a "living-garage" in Oensige, so just a stone throw away

 

Summer's over around here, so people are getting busy in the workshop. Same with Raphael who, after he got the car running this summer, decided it might need a nice shiny hood and matching hood sides. As usual, he wasn't happy with the stuff from the shelf so he started with a couple of sheets of aluminum and after a little hammering here and some pounding there, this is what he came up with.

 

hands down one of the nicest A's put together. tell you bud he has metal working skills that most hot rodders only dream of. killer build

 

The hood helped the nose out quite a bit, love the craftsmanship in this car. It's looking better everytime I look at it.

Both the slant windshield and the straight windshield visorless prototypes from the Ford mill look slightly out of proportion and the straight w/s one looks like a Chrysler of the same era but with a one-piece w/s.
Raphael in Switzerland has built a perfectly proportioned 3W body with the needed visor similar to the glass versions from Michigan. A fabulous piece of work and a great showcase for metalworking talent.
I still can't get cozy with the radiator shell/Nose cone though and have never been a believer in the "bomber" seat craze either. I appreciate the incredible worksmanship in all but the nose design and even the headlights and hood "teardrops" get in the way of the rest of the car. It is, and will be , magnificent when finished.

 

Concur. I can't come close to one rivet of this build. But I don't care for the noze either. A duece grill can't be improved on........even after all these years.

The hood and lights tie the look of the grill to the car SO well. This is one slick A!
