The 3 roadsters that really play heavily with my mind and are the Cedarquist Bros Car,the Triple Nickel car and of course...the Jr. 22 Tony Nancy roadster(Kent Fuller frame)
All 3 are a very big influence on my current build for my 30 A Steel Drag roadster.

    Excuse the poor scans...

    Nancy....

The Cedarquist Roadster REALLY pulls at my heart.
I have had the pleasure speaking with Bill Yeager a few years back(current owner) and he was very helpful giving and sending all kinds of info....
    What a great man
The car has changed somewhat from the orig. config...but in my mind .it's still bad ass.

I love the old Drag Roadsters,Thanks to all who have shared. These pics are helping me get little bits of info that I might have missed in trying to get my '23T B/A looking somewhat authentic for the 1958-1965 time frame.....Then I have to get started on my 1929 B/SR....a re-creation of a car that got me interested in cars in the first place..

    Actually,I goofed...my fat fingers I guess.....My B/SR car is a 1927,not a '29....Like I said,it's a re-creation....(Harwood glass body)....trying make it look kind of like a;'Del Rio" style car......Ideas change daily,or with every swap meet..........

I don't know how I missed this thread after all this time-I love these cars!

In the mid 80s I was a high school hot rod junkie who happened to purchase the Doc Eisland roadster that had been built by Shreve Automotive. Yes- I had plans on returning it to the street( give me a break! Iwas 15) before some guy shoved a BIG wad of cash in my face and I sold it to by a 69 Mach 1. I regret it to this day!
Sadly, the car was parted out after I sold it but the chassis remained intact until the mid 90s and then recieved some changes such as rear suspension. It was even at the LSR on Townlake with a flathead.

An earlier post mentioned the quality of these cars and some of the things that stood out on this car built in the late 50s were:
    • The front crossmember was angled by lowering the rear lip to the bottom of the frame and then it was molded in. I guess to lengthe wheelbase?
    • The entire inside of the body was zolotoned and the interior panels were then painted body color.
    • The banjo rea was narrowed and the car had mini tubs.:D
    • Ther rear was mounted by a plate going forward which was then sandwhiched by the boxed framerails.
    • Everything was detailed on the car with red or gloss black paint or chrome. The brake lever even had a matching red grip.
I think about this car daily and lately have been thinking about a recreation. Love the way the car looked sitting still. Love to see action pics of the car. Here are pics of the day I brought it home.

  15. Anyone have any pics of the Super Karret fuel injected altered? It was an orange roadster shown in Jackson Bros. Awful Fuel Altereds video. I need some reference pics to help design my 28 roadster. thanks

  18. Any pics of that one with the body on the frame?

Gotta love the altered stance of this famous car.

Very nicely, going on five years now.
The tub body I added this year, but the chassis' been racing as an HA/GR dragster since early '08.

Here's a "tub" run at the 'Dale .... click here.
....and an older one of the HA/GR ones at Eagle Field .... click here.

Thought this was interesting. Back on post 142 Mazomma1 posted these first 2 pics, couple days ago 94hoghead posted the last 2 on another thread. I've known about the old roadster in the wrecking yard for 16 years but it took till 2 days ago to figure out they are all of the same car!
