  1. Your thread is inspiring. Just heading out to do some work of my own now.

  2. i cant move closer till this car is done! haha, i wish i was closer, i really appreciate the help, maybe it wouldnt take a whole month to complete half a panel and mock up another. i often feel like i should be the one handing you the tools and whatnot.

Off-topic: R U using a BB/Smartphone to take pics? Might try cleaning the lens. My pics where looking like that until I did - what a difference!

Damn man! You're rockin on this one, great work!

  14. thank you, and yes, i made everything with the exception of the adjustable bar ends/bushing for the rear suspension from scratch

the smaller pics were taken using my jalopyphone, verizon voyager? im a cheap bastard and i refuse to pay for a smartphone. thank you though i will try cleaning the lens. i bought a nikon coolpix L24, and havent quite figured out how to use it yet. pictures can make or break a build thread and i have done all i can to destroy the integrity of this one.

Thank you, i have a few tools, been saving and searching for deals, but most of the stuff i make is done with hand tools and basic head-scratching. i just got my first set of torches for christmas this year if you can believe that!

okay enough of my dumbass. thanks for the positive comments everyone, i am working towards having new pics up and hopefully they wont be totally redundant and uninteresting. that in itself should be quite an accomplishment for a build-thread on a custom 53-54 chevy these days.

Ahh just wanted to make sure I didn't forget to introduce myself since I was hanging with the WNY crew all weekend. Perhaps next year.

So you are mounting the gas tank to the frame? You're not going to also attach it to the body, are you? Because that will put a lot of stress on those parts as the frame and body try to move separately from each other. That's why gas tanks are mounted to the trunk floor, not the frame, on most cars (including '53 Chevrolets).
