I would like to start the thread, this week with my 1/8 scale Late Model dirt car, I'm building from scratch. Here's a progress shot. Big model, 25" long.
Nice. Haven't done anything traditonal in a while, but I am working on an AWB Fairlane- a quick tutorial on the mods will appear in the next issue of Model Cars Magazine. Posted the '53 Hudson mild custom I did in the earlier thread- http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=666029
Thanks 60 Ford, Lyle Willits and Boldventure. Chuck and Eric, you guys are masters. Beautiful workmanship. I'll be looking for your tutorial in the next MCM issue.
Trying to post shots from yesterday's CPMCC meeting but FOTKI is VERY slow, or non-working today. This happens, usually on Sundays and especially in winter because of the very heavy traffic on the site.
3dprinting, anyone? http://garagemdigital.blogspot.com/2012/02/dave-sherman-enviou-fotos-de-seu-camaro.html If anyone wants to build a one-off model, any model, let me know and i will be glad to help.
Some nice stuff here. That Late Model is insane, and I can't wait to see the Fairlane done! Inspiring, I always look forward to these threads. I really need to slow down and get back into the models.
you'd think there was something special going on today, with the lack of action hereabouts.... did we declare war on Canada or something?
They will be back just as soon as Chris Berman loses his voice and Madonna makes a fool of herself. Oh Yeah, the biggest battle will be between Silvarado and F150 .
This one is based on the Revell kit with Buick side trim & Buick headlights from RMoM. And again I used the Cadillac engine, but this time with heads and valve cover from RMoM. The grill is a mixture of parts from a '50 Ford convertible, while the fender skirts are from the amt '49 Mercury. And here another one
Can't remember if I posted this last week or not... I've made some more progress since, got the interior to fit properly and set the ride height, but there's still a way to go.
Superbowl I heard is on today,I truthfully dont know.Into cars not sports.I spent a few hours today wet sanding and priming backing plates ,Plus nitro staining them so far twice,Damn pits...Ive been waiting all day also.Been here off and on since early this morning,Ill bump it up again....Love these model car builds ...These builds are awesome...........
Great work guys!! This is what I have been playing with lately: Chopped 1932 Ford 3-W, intention to be a C/A-contender
Yes You did post this last week also, WOW how a little BMF/brightwork can really bring it alive!!! I may have said it before, but again, two thumbs up on this beast! I really like the style of car and what You´ve done so far. (Reminds me of my own pile of in-progress AMT ´58 Impalas I´d like to post here sometime soon hopefully.)
