i'd also add that i am sure i am not the only person going through each and every post that will not open a dpf file no matter how bitchen; no matter what year.

Rick; Didn't this car have a clutch-flite or some kind of transmission in it. I recall talking about early attempts with transmissions in dragsters umpteen years ago and I thought this car.
I also remember stories about that hi-geared Fantasia gasser too. :) Tom S.[IMG]

Tom, it ran an experimental B&M Torquemaster -- commend B&M for trying it but it didn't work as well as the standard multidisk clutch...(I also remember Fantasia, ran high gear until Chuck Finders offered to build a spring suspension, free of charge if it didn't work, then they ran an automatic, and it won at least one fuel altered meet...

I would love to know who ended with the Torkmaster. The tail fin is classic 60's era body work.

Baltes and Lavato. Jerry Baltes later ran funnies in the mid west during the early 70's. They were dubbed Tom and Jerry.

Note that Jay Minor's Cuda is a hybred. Front end is 70 era while the back end is 69 fastback version. The airborn, bodiless flopper going through the OCIR lights is Bob Picket. Black primer Vette rolling on its roof is Steve Plueger and Gary densham car that never got sorted-as we can see.

The Drag News clip dated Sept 26, showing the remains of Rusty Dellings in the destroyed Mr T Vette alludes to unknown reason why the car crashed. Blower explosion sending the GMC huffer right into the drivers face rendering him unconscious is what caused the car to veer into the guard rail

I beleive Bob Jet Car Smith piloted Sturms Corvair. His baring no burns served as an endorsement for Simpson Saftey Equipment ads.
