I'm number 1534. There were definitely more than 1533 other members on board before I joined. Maybe some left or numbers got mixed sometime. It has got very big though. Some forums delete 0 posters after a given time.

Wow, I'm 13124 and I thought I was a late comer.

 

The HAMB is education, entertainment, humor and good natured ball busting all in one. The talent here is amazing and the willingness to share that knowledge speaks volumes. As a lifelong car nut I never get tired of seeing what people are doing. Learning Photoshop (well, sorta) and helping put a few peoples ideas into a visual format is a blast too. I'm #70840 and will be here as long as the HAMB is around or my wife knocks me off.

I've really enjoyed the HAMB. I know for the first few years I didn't have an account, I wanted to just read and try some of the stuff without posting something stupid or something someone else already asked and had answered.

I'm still an FNG, but I've read the HAMB for years. Sometimes it's just better to keep your mouth shut and READ what someone else with more experience posts. That's what my Daddy taught me!

 

We were all FNG at one time. Jump on in, don't be ascared. Say something stupid (like I have done) and you'll learn. But that's life, a learning experience...

It's my kind of neighborhood too. The kind where you give a guy hell if he doesn't have at least one project in the driveway.

 

Bada bing, You hit it. I've met a number of guys at swap meets while wearing my HAMB T shirt who only joined to be able to contact sellers in the classifieds and have never posted on the board and don't peruse the board. They go straight to the classifieds on a regular basis, look for what they are hunting for and that's it.

Then there are the guys who find the board in a Google search, join and then find out we don't like our hot rods the way they like their hot rods that's the end of them.

 

I lurked around on the site for a long time before I joined. I realized that I could no longer in good standing continue to take and not give back to the site.

I have read some funny shit, spit coffee on my screen a few times, the shit house rat comment sent hot coffee out the nose and all over my desk thanks Ryan

This reminds me of the Hot Wheels boards. I'm member #1213 on there. I've been there from the very start. It was great in the early days. The board had to change because of the masses. It got hard to navigate.
