Been a little over a month since the fire (read about it here)
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=657164

Working on it with all my free time and finally started it today. Hit the key and fired right up, no smoke no fire. Feels good to hear it run again.
Painted the firewall. Gutted all the wiring and started over with a whole new kit from Rich Fox at Affordable street rods, new Moroso wires, coil, cap, points, 1 wire Alt. and a few upgrades including Dyna-Mat, heater, new elec. gauges (plus still retained the stock originals in dash) battery shut off switch, Mighty wiper, Cal-Custom valve covers and air cleaner, Edlebrock 500 carb on a Edlebrock EPS intake, and had the exhaust manifolds ceramic coated dark grey, and most important added a fresh new fire extinguisher.
Still have some minor wiring to finish up and go back through and tidy up all the wire looms and hopefully find some hood tops with nicely patina'd old black paint to match the rest of the car.
Thinking about adding a dropped axle to give it a little rake and then upholstery in March. Gary

  7. Great news !!! Looks great ! If you don't mind , what Brand and model intake are you running along with what manufacture of carb and model number (cfm's) I'm running a little warmed over Chevy 265 in the 35... The carb on it is going away for sure, and may need a intake also. Was the pictures I sent of my linkage of any help.. Sorry the pictures kind of sucked. Thanks Rob

Nice job. Any idea where I can find a pair of these brackets for the hood sides ?

My sedan was not running hood sides and I want to run them now. I have no front hold down brackets.
