I have worked with rearend



I have her spot weld the new spring hoders on the rearaxle



Put it in the shoebox and test if it fitts



I have now weld the holders the will lower the shoebox 1"

I have put on the new u-bolt for test and the restored bottom brackets

I have a fight with drive shaft



I have some problems with the spinces when i put it toghter but now is it up



I put tempory in the shoebox with the volvo u-joint that not fit the ford 8" rear end

I have a power brake kit from jamco suspension that should fit a shoebox



it look like that the brake pedal shall be mounted outside the original master cylinder





I have not a assembly instruction to it or i not have fond it



Her's the old master cylinder removed

I think mayby to modyfi the kit so i not need put the old master cylinder inside the new pedal holder.
If i do that will i move the new master cylder assy. closer to the frame
I can get som problems with the pushrod that it hit the gearbox member
If i move it there will be more room for the headers/exhaust system

I'd contact Jamco to see if they can help you out with the missing assembly instructions . Seeing as you're in Sweden , an e-mail might be your best/only choice .

Hey Stefan,check out my build thread.I did some modification for the Jamco's mastercylinder bracket,its on the first page.I hope there's some help for you about them.
The brake pedal will be too center,so there wont be enough room for the gas pedal without any modifications..

I think to somthing like you. I have to melt it little before i start to do the modifactions

Awesome that he got 'em for you ASAP !! I figured he could hook you up .

 

I must modify the brake pedal from jamco becase it not shall have inferace with my headers build



I have cut of the boss on the backide of the holder so i can move it closer to frame

and i cut the pedal holder and rotate it 180 degrees so it is in same deriction as the original pedal



Her's a comper to the original pedal assy.

I have worked with Jamco kit.



I cut of the screw bracket on the master cylder holder.

Now will came nearer the frame and so i can get more road clearance



I have weld it up in the frame



I put the parts up for a test



the pedal is now in orignal place after moving the kit nearer the frame





the master cylinder and the power brake unit is now put in near the frame and close to the floor



I cut a hole in the foor for inspection and matance of the master cylinder
i have to do somthing with this hole so it look better and make a lid to it

I'll be doing something similar in the near future with a custom dual master setup . We did it already in (HAMB'er) Legend544's shoebox , so I have a perfect model to copy for mine ! I have to gather up the disc brake stuff yet - till then , it's drum brakes for me ...

Figured I'd add a couple pics of what we came up with . It mounts in front of the crossmember just as original and fits to the original pedal , eliminating the long rod (it's non-booster , so it fits perfectly) . Pics are from mock-up stage , BTW - it's all plumbed now and works great .
