Was the super 6, I installed a 289 9 years ago, Granada disc brakes, 8" rear end, but I have a 200, and a C4 lating in the floor that I am re-installing by spring, the 2 door wagons are just a breed all there own, but I like all wagons....

Thanks for the info. You'll have to post a thread on the motor swap and how you like the combo of 200 + C4. I'd be interested. I have the three speed in my 62 Ranch, but wont be grinding them beans for long. Soon I'll be moving up to more gears or less effort.

 

I love that wagon! I might have to add one to my pile!

My 63 chrysler new yorker, picked it up friday in minnesota and drove it back to Texas. 413 and a pushbutton torqueflite. All stock, debating what to do to it.

 

I had a '63 Newport Wagon, 361, etc....miss it.

Tax mans wanting my money. and something has to go. Hate to do it but the wagon is the last one on the list. We have it listed on this sites classifieds. Check it out, come and drive it, take it home.

 

Nice. Polish it. Lower it. Some period custom wheels. Maybe Bellflower exhausts. Then drive it!

 

that's kinda what I was thinking minus the bellflowers. my buddy suggested the same thing, but I have never really liked them. I HAVE been driving it though, to work everyday. runs great and the A/C works. That will be nice in a month or two when the weather gets hot here.

Here's my "Sophie". Been a big wagon guy since my first ride, a '64 Chevy Biscayne wagon. Trying to keep her all original as well. The original SUV!

Cool! I used to be a bigger fan of the Squires, but the Country Sedans have recently usurped them for my top spot.

 

Thanks,. Those were the low-end wagons for '55. Basic everything.
People seem to like the luggage rack and vintage suitcases.

 

I've always thought of them as mid-range; Crestlines to the Country Squire's Fairlane. Weren't the two-door Ranch Wagons the bottom of the barrel?
