Me too, though Tommy Ivo's "Showboat" had four. None of this stuff is as quick as one, but makes for great spectacle.

DeuceDon got me fired up about what a youngster USED
to ;) be able to eat for, back when we were picking parts,
or whatever, and working for 75 cents or less an hour as
teens. ANYBODY have a photo of Bob's in Gulf Breeze, FLA?

Gulf Breeze was and is a suburb of Pensacola and is located
right on the gulf and Pensacola Bay in the Florida panhandle.
The fantastic prices seem to show this menu to be from the
mid-1960s. Burgers start at 20 cents! You could get a couple
o' burgers, fries & a drink for under a dollar! Four-piece fried
chicken $1.25. Eight-piece family chicken dinner $2.89. Wow!

The building is still there. A couple years ago my daughters teacher assigned a project where they cut out a paper person and she was to send it to another part of the world and have it photographed with interesting sights in their area.

There was a guy from Belgium on another site I posted at that was willing to do it. He photographed her person in front of this structure.

Ever since Fred & Barney first did it:D, it seems as though people
have ALWAYS loved to POSE with their cars (sometimes so much
that you can't SEE the damn car!). But these pix from FlickR
members are very keen. THANKS, FlickR & members! :)

That 3rd shot looks like the old Katy engine house at Parsons, Kansas.

Interesting that the Frisco Freeze is the same colors as the Frisco Railroad used to be (orange and white). The closest the Frisco Railroad came to Tacoma would have been central Kansas though.

St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County was a railroad in Vermont, named that from 1948 to 1973. It had passed through a number of hands since it's was built in the 1870's. According to Wikipedia's locomotive roster, #38 was a 2/8/0 which was wrecked in 1944, so that pretty well dates this photo.

If that was at Enid's fairground, my brother, one of our cousins, my wife and I went out there to watch a race once. Might have seen you there.
