Does it drive anyone else crazy when people quote Picture posts? It's all right if there is one or two pictures but quoting a post with 20 pictures in it, drives me nuts. Then 20 other people do it, it makes the thread hard to read. Sry haven't had my coffee yet
I agree, it's not that hard to edit a quote. And you dont need to put down everything a person posts to make your point.
I think they should split hamb general discussion i 2,one for all "show me pics of" threads who pop up every second and one for the real stuff!
Totally agree. Plus, after viewing the same 10 or so photos there is almost always a one sentence idiotic statement. And, some quote one photo with some inane remark that is supposed to be funny. Funny (to them) because they usually add a "haha". Oh, well.
i tend to not bother even looking at the post when it gets like that. i wish the pics could be minimized after the original post has been responded to as to be able to go through the thread faster. i know what the original pic was and i don't need to see it over and over.
I'd put it right up there with people not using the search function..... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=664211
I feel like "the least of these" on the Hamb. I have an OT 66 convertible but want a HAMB friendly car. The garage is a higher prority. So long and to the point, it really pisses me off when the quoted pictures show up in The Friday Art Show. The thread is 3X's longer and new pictures get pushed down the line. I come here to get an education on hot rods, to see what other guys are doing. I don't come here to see the same pictures 3 or more times. So maybe PM the idiot and tell them how to edit the quote..... I asked about this several times in the past and nothing happend, gues you can't fix stupid!
The quality and readability of the The Friday Art Show threads really suffer because of it. I complained when I had dial-up. It's still annoying with a high-speed connection.
Well actually there is, if you can take a few extra seconds. Click the "Quote" button. If the quoted post has, say, 8 pictures and your response refers to only one or two of them, right-click on the uneeded pictures and then left-click on "Delete" or "Cut" on the menu that appears. It only takes a couple seconds apiece to remove each unneeded image. Then add your response to what's left of the quoted post.
