More updates! Pictures will be added after work. I got the front end finished up, got the break lines all ran, got the master cylinder/break pedal all bolted up, got the bed pulled, and started putting the front clip back together so I can do some patch work and see the new stance with the lower suspencion

I was 14 when I started my first build it was a 49 chevy truck .

  17. it's a turn signal. Just in casse you want to enjoy driving your truck in the summer, with windows down, don't junk the wing windows. They let you drive without blowing all the dirt on the floor in your face. They give you a nice controled breeze and don't try to blow you out of the truck. they look better too. try riding in one without them and I think you will see they have a very definate purpose. Ahh it's your truck.

Hey! Thanks! I've been makin a lot of progress on the truck! Just, between bustin' my butt on it, and doin research papers in multiple classes at school, I haven't had much spare time to load up pictures, but I will soon!

Nice to meet you! Kool truck!

    Thats a kool year, thanks!

They are definatily stayin'! Thanks for the wise words!

   ;)

  20. My wife calls my truck "The Metal Mistress"
Then I call her "Miss B-Haven" and we have a good laugh.

School first, we can wait for pictures. You're making great progress!

Keep at it. The first time you drive it around the block it will be worth all the time and work. You are building a nice truck.

    Awesome build.

  27. I just went through your build thread end to end. (Whew!) Looks like a great project and I really admire your tenacity, especially at your age and with school and all! Crazyhorse sounds like a treasure!

My truck (shown in my avatar) started out in almost IDENTICAL condition to yours...even the original Ford red paint. Reading through your thread makes me tired all over again!

I hope you used a bleeder-seal primer! That old red paint has a nasty habit of bleeding through to the new color. I'm not too sure about purple, but many years ago (like 40-years ago) I painted a truck that was red originally to white.. Within a couple of weeks I had a PINK truck! I scuffed it and painted it again, and within a few weeks it was PINK AGAIN. I ended up taking it back to bare metal and starting over. One of life's little (expensive) lessons.

There will be after school today:cool:

    Thanks!!

Thanks for the kind words! I hope my truck doesn't do that.. I'm not sure what kind of primer I ran, but it's been primed for a couple months with no bleeding, so I guess I'll find out

I'm tryin to make it nice, I apreciate your kind words! It's going to be my daily driver

  30. great work for a young gun. I see your age (14), was that your age when you became a member??? or is that your age now , just wondering
