Very nice. Not too sure about the cycle tires up front, though. There have been 3 very nice T-buckets on the HAMB lately that I noticed. Is there a new fad in the making...?
Ditto what KoolKat-57 said! So refreshing to see a bucket that looks "real", ...'cause it IS of course! The wheel/tire combo is bitchen, no way wonky! Sweet!

Yup Diamond was really 70's even into early 80's. That sharp looking little bucket needs some tuck n roll and please no ugly ass shaggy carpet!!!
If you do the diamond tuft people will look at you car and wonder how long it took you to build it. Mid 50s build. Didn't get around to upholstering it until the early 70s. Its gotta be T & R!!

black tuck and roll is it. White top and bed cover. purple fuzz carpet. Should be done next week and should be at the LA Roadster show. Already back to the old project "Surf Angel". Finally!
Just saw the car at the upholstry shop and recognized it from the HAMB and now it is the first post. Too COOL. Its looking good!
Great car, love that '37 front axle, as noted earlier - it really makes the car and continues the heritage back to Bukowski and Ivo.. Can you please tell us the work that was involved in placing the spring behind the axle? Thank you.
Jon, answer your question, you can see this in the second set of pics, on the split rods i drilled a hole, i welded a sleeve into it for the spring perch's, i shortened the perches and rethreaded to correct length, installed some left over springer pike nuts from an old roth front end for looks, of course i needed to coral a correct length spring. When installing all on the car i loosen the pike nuts so perch is out slightly, install the spring and bolt it to the frame, then drop the car and the spring is able to find the perfect alignment to the radius rod because the perch can rotate in the sleeve, then i tighten it and wola, perfect alignment, no bind. the frame spring mount is raised to get the car down and it has a cover with hidden screws so you do not see the bolts and it blends in and looks like the cover is part of the frame. more pics to come as the interior and top will be done next week.
