    what goes inside the quarter

the bottom over laps the original quarter then i put a piece of round stock on the edge to give it a finished edge

a bunch of welding and grinding and fighting and you get this

REALLY looks good. It'd be cool to use the little chrome "teeth" in the new, canted scoop, have you tried that?

we are using percys speed glass. yes its plastic but nothing would come close to this shape with the little amount of arc. trim will be made for the new window as well so this is going to really make it hard to tell that its actually plastic.

  17. Fair enough. I was talking to a guy at a glass shop some years ago, and he said the plastics they have now are nothing like they used to be. Won´t easily scratch, craze, fog, or discolour due to UV light. Why not use it?

you are right james d.scratch resistent etc and i figure if the make windshield for lotus' and lambos they gotta be a pretty good product!! it shouldnt be a huge pain to change if it does go to hell in a hand basket . it will be butyled in but will be a little bit of rubber to mimic gasket around the trim.

I think that rear window is right in the money! Blends real well with the shape of the roof and pillars.

  21. Nice looking back window. Kinda how i planned mine if i cant find something premade that trips my trigger. Keep up the great work. Joe

You EVER get anything done on YOUR Caddy...been watching for updates...but nothing...!!!

Look at pick-up rear windows...most are small and curved so they would fit a similar chop...

  25. Not much, been busy being a hubby / grandpa/daddy to our 2 yr old. She comes with me to work on sundays when I can get down to my buds place 1.25 hours away. My car can roll, first time since 64. Just bought used shockwaves off evil bay for rear to finish up fab of C4 rear end. Steering hook up, core support mounts, and front bumper mounts are left. Then blow it apart to final weld everything and make it a vehicle again , instead of a pile of kool parts hanging around. Hey Flop, your work is looking amazing, Ted should love it
