  4. I did this car from a groundup on an old "field car" for a local guy a few years back......
Some People said ya can't make a hotrod car out of a four door but I think it came out pretty good.

It was a Luxury Rod/ Sleeper;;;;;)this model was called Towne Sedan, and that year they had two wheelbases so ya have to be sure you get the right fenders for the wheelbases...
the color is original mix "Empire Maroon" metallic with clearcoat over it
I used a 500 HP- 406" fuel injected Chevy engine and Richmond five speed trans and 9" pos rear end.
I redid the original frame and added 4 wheel discs.... it has since relocated to pennsylvania....
check out the 32 Ford bumpers Ha!

luckily my fenders are repairable, might need to add an inch or two for the wider tire and wheel track i might be using

I had a DRXX in the mid '80's, nice cars, frames are like freight train grade.

The 34 dodges are one of the best looking body styles in my opinion and they really dont need chopped. I love the look just the way they are

A guy ran a red light and hit us at a 45 degree angle at 45 MPH no brakes applied.
We bought the total back for $1050,used the wheels & tires (3 were OK),stereo, battery, SW gauges in a 36 Chev P/U.

Still have the teardrop taillights,3rd brake light, and 350 Chev engine in the garage for a future project.

Sold the body, chassis, interior to another rodder for $2000 as it was beyond my skills to rebuild.

We were lucky my ex-wife saw the guy coming...dark truck, night,I missed him and she yelled STOP!!!!If she hadn't, I wouldn't be typing this!

    We were VERY lucky!!!

WOW, im glad she saw it coming then. its a shame the car was in such disrepair. have you kept in touch with the other rodder, maybe seen thier progress on it.

im kind of half heartedly looking for the rear and front lights, i also may need a new hood ornament. the one i bought from someone, ended halfing half of the bottom base cut off.
