Went to Erie Pa. today and my son Rob bought the old Prefect, Gasser Passer, that was raced by Ohio George.
We got it back home here in Ohio this evening.
Here are some of the photos we took before it was loaded up for the trip home.
I'll add some more information to this thread as time permits. Stay tuned.
Getting ready to pull it out of the garage where it sat for over thirty years.
    Out into the light!
    Yea!!
What a thirty year old tire track looks like.
    Out to the street.
Going down the street a couple blocks to get to the trailer.
Waiting for the trailer to get into position.

Sweet find, even though I sort of like it, it' a shame it was chopped.

WOW thats awsome. I hope it's going to be restored. Here's a pic I borrowed from the "Drag Cars in Motion" thread. Posted by Mazooma1. Ohio George is one of my favorite "Gasser Warriors".

Consider yourself adopted......yes we considered stopping but it was getting late and colder and we were afraid the droll would freeze and someone would slip and fall. HA!!!
Rob is making plans to take it to Thompson this summer, so you will get to see it there.

As far as we know, the top was chopped by Bob Chipper and renamed the GOLD GETTER in the late 1960's or early 1970's after he bought it from Joe Hrudka who got it from Ohio George around 1967 . It then passed through a couple more hands until Rob bought it today.

  10. WoW - Too bad it was chopped and the Iconic Odd scoop is missing. Would never have guessed that was even the car. Cool find though

I was just thinking the same thing. wouldn't be to hard with a donor. One of these four-doors was on L-A Craigslist for like $800 no too long ago.

We have talked about that since we first saw it a week ago. Wouldn't be all that hard. But I must say, the chop was very well done .

1931 Model A 4 door . Kind of rough but has extra doors and other parts.

  18. One more vote for unchop. The scoop will be easy to duplicate. Was it borrowed from the Malco car or copied by O.G.?

This is one of the many questions that we need to find an answer too, so if anyone has any information about this car, please pass it along.

  26. Dudes! That thing is bad ass!

    Keep the chop!

Paint it like it was... and then put primer spots in the areas where the shop was done.

People will scratch their heads! Hahahaha!!

Ohio George was one of my favorites in the gasser wars of the 60's. It would be cool if this car could be unchopped and restored. Congrats!
