They assume you are a collector and you will never open that kit. It's a racket. They forget some of us model buyers may well build the damned thing and therefore open the kit. I tend to buy complete, or near complete glue bombs. At least there I can see what I'm getting. I'm getting good at restoring old built ups.

When people say " repop". The proper description should be " repro" short for re-production.

Camaros and Novas had a frame.... Maybe not a whole one, but they still had a frame..

  7. "Frame off restoration on anything. It should be "Body off restoration".

Chevrolet called their 1956 four-door hardtop sedan a "sport sedan."
Back then we would call a two-door hardtop a "hardtop convertible."

There is an old museum local to me that had dozens of old hoods from the early 30's and older made into doghouses, they were really pricey (everything is for sale there) and I was waiting till they got a little cheaper so I could grab a couple... but I went in one day and they were all gone to scrap... such a waste.

On topic, I hate when someone is describing a car outside of a limited space newspaper ad, and they use short forms for everything... and end up using incorrect short forms...

PS PW PL PB PT AC GT GE S4 FU ET XX LOL and half a gallon of gas.

Ok so i ran across this post and the best add ever came to me...

I was reading through an I wanna paper and saw an add for a "chop top custom 1953 Chevy with custom front end... $3500" Sounds nice, called the guy up and went to see it... BOY was the front end custom!... Had been hit so hard in the front the rear 1/4s were bowed... Driver wheel was pushed into the floor board...
People come up with some great stuff...

I dug and dug and dug and couldnt find the picture of it so this thing just represents the damage...

Any car with high miles is always advertised as all "Highway Miles".

  25. Someone trying to sell something and they start out their listing "What we have here is... yada yada" ... Is the sale item sitting on the guys desk as he types the ad? ..... and who the hell is "we"? .... just get to the point and quit thinking your dog is named "Spot"!

I hate it when they use the first person, as if the car is writing the ad... maybe they need idiots to like the ad, I dunno...

Before I knew how to do screenshots I saw one like this:
"I am a 1956 shebby nomad 4 door wagon and I need a home, my floor is totally missing and my body has sagged off of my frame, I have the rare factory 235 6 cylinder motor and 3 speed on the collum tranny, no glass but all chrome is good and I would make a great restoration or hot or rat rod, priced to sale 4750$"

"For sell" or "I want to sale" has been touched on before, but it bugs me when I see the dollar sign after the price... how does the brain work on these people?

Someone trying to sell something and when you make them an offer, the seller responds with "...I don't have to sell it because I don't really need the money". Then WTF are you trying to sell it?

"BARN FIND", everything lately has been found in a barn, or is "BARN FRESH". WTF!!!
