I wanted to go to the Pomona Swap Meet, tomorrow. But it looks like rain.. But I'm definitely looking forward to going to the GNRS
I would like to go but well see, ill fly into my buddys in san diego and fly home from LA, well see. JEFF
I'll be there with my camera and my car guy friends flying in from Denver. Hope its as great as it was last year. Can hardly wait!! Here is a link to my photos from last year if you are interested. http://www.pbase.com/dlgphoto/gnrs2011&page=all
Im going but still complaining about the $20 admission price and parking fee. Makes it hard to bring the whole family. But I cant miss it just like every other year.
Last year was my first time too, and I only had the Friday to take it in and some guys told me these couple of shops and they were well worth it: So Cal Speed right there in Pomona, they have tours Mon. - Fri. 8 & 2, trust me it was well worth it. Unbelievably nice folks work there, except when they made fun of me for talk'n funny. If you have transportation and time, check out Lime Works in Whittier, a little hard to find but Steve and the guys extended some Southern hospitality to me and were nice enough to let me mill around. Also I had a tip to catch the Nitro Cracklefest, can't recall what building they were behind but it's right at dusk and if you've never witnessed an old front-end nitro motor roar to life you'll wet your pants a little like I did. Fly'n out for two days of the show this year so hope'n to check out a few more shops.
I am. In spirit.... Have a great time and post loadss of pictures for us land locked folks in the middle parts of the frozen tundra...
I will be there tomorrow at 2pm long week, But well worth it, And set up in Building 4 up front on the right, drop by and say hey.
Be there Friday. GNRS - Hot Rods. History. Tradition. From the Birthplace of Hot Rodding itself, Southern California.
Don't forget hit The Broiler on weds and Bob's Toluca Lake on friday. Can't wait to get in to the show, looking forward to seeing all "youse guys".
