Just a heads up to anyone making the trip from DFW to Austin Friday morning. My brother will be following me with an empty truck and trailer that we plan to use as a "recovery vehicle" (gas, tires, tools etc). Hopefully no one, including myself needs it, but we'll keep an eye out for anyone that may need help. If you're interested in having my number as a backup send me a PM and I'll give you my cell.

Dam it I will miss this one.

 

There is alot of parking at the grounds and camping within a stones throw. You could also leave the truck and trailer there. We camped last year and there was quite a few tow rigs parked around us. I know some groups stayed up all night parting and I didnt hear of anyones cars or rigs being messed with overnight.

I would consider parking your trailer in the free camping area at the Convention Center. Have some keep an eye on your stuff. I stayed there last year and there were no problems.
