When I was a little youngin, I used to watch Dark Shadows with frequency, it was sort of a "goth" (before anyone knew what "goth" was) soap opera... As I recall, there sure was never a "Barnabas Vampire Van" on the show, actually, it appeared as if there probably wasn't even enough budget allocated for the show to have ANY kind of car, much less a custom creation... Looks like MPC was trying to cash in on kids who couldn't tell the difference between this model and The Munster's classy family car...

A lot of really cool stuff...I know that there are at least a few of you guys who remember the little hot rods you could get at the 5 and dime store in the 50's...they were stamped steel...and if you took them apart (which I always did) they were made out of beer cans.

Hey RBAntique, could you fill us in on the red Miller race car model ? Sorta looks like a Don Edmunds creation, but maybe not.

Love that Nylint T rpu. I wish I could find one, what sort of money do they go for in the US?

They're not terribly rare or valuable; I've had a couple of them. I suggest searching "Nylint" on eBay, and one should turn up. I would think $50 or so would be about the max you'd have to spend.

The "carburetors" are rather vulnerable. I think most of the ones I've seen for sale at toy shows have them broken off.

I found one of these at a antique store for $7.00. Does that sound like a good deal? It did to me...so it now resides at my place with all my other junk. I think it looks way cool. I'd put a pic up...but I can't seem to do that any more.

mine is missing a piece of the first carb too and as usual the white top is missing.
I like it without the top but it'd be nice to have.

This is a 1/24 Danbury Mint Die-Cast Pro-Street '57 I bought a few years back. It even has a cage, nos, wheelie bars & a 'chute!
