  4. Very nice CNB! What are the specs on the chop? Do you have a build thread on it?

    Yeah that thing is nasty!!!!

    I picked up a few more things over the weekend for my '33 so I should have enough to start a build thread!!! As of right now I could set it up as a roller with a flatty (not THEE flatty but...) and a T5 with 16" wheels. I'm on the verge of putting another early ford trans in there and selling a bunch for a quickie.

    Keep these pics coming because they're getting me all types of excited!

    Muffin that's exactly the kind of Model 40 coupe I would build!!! That thing is super sinister and very cool.

    Kelsey Martin built this car are in 1978. It was the first 34 glass body from Ai Fiberglass. It came with a 3 inch chop, and Kelsey took two more inches out of the top. This was just an empty glassbody..no wood,no steel, nothing. Ton of hours went into building this car. He put steel fenders ,hood, deck lid,splash aprons,etc, and louvered every panel that could be louvered. He named it the Ventilated Ford. Sold it not long ofter this picture was taken at Jolly Jorges(home of the rebirth of the Wednesday Cruise Night ). It went through a couple of owners, and while at John Silver's (designer of the Maco Shark) shop being re-done, John passed away.
    Bob Rotondo,another member of the Strokers, bought the car a few years back, finished the prep work on the body, and repainted the car black and had the new red leather interior installed. The chassis (6 inch Bell dropped frt axle/Corvette rear end) still has the same paint ( and pin striping) that Kelsey put on it back in 78!
    Here is a picture in its current rendition taken at Rhinebeck recently.

    Thanks so much for this post,... Sometimes a car just grabs you by the throat and shakes you,... This car's profile did that to me,... I did remember it being Ai First body,.. And it having steel fenders,.. but that was all i could remember. Just started a thread about this car,... So I will move your comments and picture there as well,.... Any additional pictures would be greatly appreciated.

    The other thread is at this link ;
    Who remembers what about this Flamed 34' 3/W ???????
