What a clean machine that car is. What's under the hood, a 216?

  3. Wow, just wow. They ARE still out there, guys.

  6. I'll try and get a couple pics up this week. The interior and engine/compartment are as nice as the exterior.

Amazing! Great find especially since that is what you wanted. Have to keep some original and with the story, this would be a good one. Do you know if the car and wheels were painted that way originally? Add some whitewalls and be done.

  9. Yes it is the original paint scheme, the car was repainted in the mid 80's by Quality Motors in Independence Ks.

NO please ,no whitewalls. The car doesn't have them and does not need them.

  13. :D:D:D:D
Haven't decided yet. What ever I decide will be period correct. More then likely black walls.

  14. "UPDATE"

After Brakes and some tweeking the 39 is on the road and running great.

NOS Texaco oil for the 39 before it's first day out on the road.

  16. Well, How'd she handle?

  17. Really nice, we're putting the new tires on later this week. The old Bias Firestones that are on it now, let ya know they are there from the sitting in one spot for the last few years. ;)

Well to be honest the 39 is for when I'm in that "Pa Kettle" mood. I feel very lucky to have found such a piece of history. Oh hey, by the way Jeff. I'm stealing your pic you posted!!!!

Thanks for posting the interior pics. I have a '39 sedan as well and need the rear seat, the one that came with it isn't the right one at all.

  25. If ya need anymore, let me know.;)

  26. Stealing that horrible pic? I'll do you a better one, as the first was a bit dark.
    Tag looks great.
