does anybody know if GM ever used a motor mount like this in any production vehicals or are they just a fancy aftermarket thing. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Polyurethane-Small-Block-Big-Block-Chevy-Motor-Mounts,5527.html
About as close as you can get http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/ANR0/2267.oap?pt=02327&ppt=C0019
Go to your favorite parts store and tell them you want motor mounts for a 1968 Camaro with a 327. Left and right are the same. $8 - 12 each depending on where you shop.
I believe the Speedway ones shown are early 60s....by the late 60s, they had the overlapping steel pieces in case of failure of the rubber. In 73, they changed to the clamshell engine mount
Energy suspension catalog says 2 styles of motor mount. Short and wide:2 5/8 inches at the frame saddle by 1 3/4 tall. Or, tall and narrow:2 3/8 inches at the frame saddle by 2 3/16 tall. They both are sbc on the block side of the mounts. About $50. each.
The engine mount in question are stock Chevy style engine mounts pre 68. Probably due to some Gov ruling to prevent engines from being dislodged during accidents the engine had to be locked to the frame mount and the design changed to the later design in post #2 which is bigger and bulkier looking

Yep, those are the clean ones but they do break after a while especially if the car is driven hard and that is why they started putting the catch hook on them that always gets in the way of what you are trying to do. Having the left one break at wot can be a thrill ride until you get the rig shut down. with anti lift hook. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1958-Chevrolet-Impala/Motor-Mount/_/N-j2bbyZ93xoa
yEP GET EM AT A PARTS STORE NEAR YOU THAT WAY YOU CAN PREVENT THE MISTAKE OF GETTING THE WRONG ONE OF THIS TYPE MOUNTS.....THERE IS A THICK AND THIN VERSION,,,,,EARLY 70S WERE ALMOST AN INCH TALLER ]SORRY= CAPS[
along with thick and thin, there are different widths across the two holes that fit on the frame bracket. And the various interlocking permutations, and then there's the truck mount with the single threaded hole in the middle, etc. And the slightly different mount for 58-62 cars with the six. But no, Chevy never used polyurethane mounts like that.
