Great pics! Thanks! Ya know, maybe I've been on the HAMB too long, but street rods seem to look waaaaaay more different than traditional cars. It was good to see a nice mix.

    Doug,
It was a great day for "Cruisin Pasadena" Yesterday Juicy Gee, A & me did the HCCA's Holiday Motor Excusion in the Purple 34 and it was totally Picture Post Card Day! Today Johnny Gee and I met @ The Bun N Burger in Alhambra.
We made our way out to Pasadena, Me driving the 32, our pal Glen driving the 34 and JG in his 56.
    Bonesy,
Got a couple of 32's in stock=;), love em. I've had that 34 for years, I started building it when I was 21 working for a friend named Paul who owned the body and frame originally. Thank you for the compliment re: the 34. I enjoy it.

Mazooma, you are the abassador of So-Cal and without those images, history wouldn't be recorded, Thank you.

Man, this KILLS me. My '55 truck isn't running right now so I couldn't join in. I was ok with that UNTIL I saw these beautiful pictures. Yup, absolutely beautiful weather today. It was almost 75 until it turned dark tonight!

Kev, Doug is more than just an Abassador!. He's the HAMBs Weather Man. Who needs Dallas Raines, our weather man here in LA on channel 7 that was with us today. We have Doug to show the rest of the people in Cold Weather and Snow what a great place So Cal is :D.

I was in a T shirt. Find my pic next to my roadster. What can I say, we are all pussies out here when it comes to a morning chill.

  22. Was planning on going but the headers for the 29 didn't make it back from the Coating Co. on time, so I spent the day pulling the motor out of a 40.

And QUIT posting these great pictures and info on the weather. SO Cal is crowded enough without giving those snowed in freezing their asses off bastards in the rest of the country a reason to move here!!!!!

  23. I'm digging that '32 with the chrome wire wheels...

    70's retro is here.

They don't stay long when they see what cost of living here is & what they have to do to register a car here. ;)

During winter when the temperature drops down overnight to around 50 degrees here, it takes a few hours for it to warm up. We whine, and wear parkas if and when it drops below 50... We are a bunch of sissies... :)
Oh yeah... with 70% humidity, you don't sweat when it's in the eighties... :p

Wow...what great pictures. My car guy heart aches to be back in California. I lived in Pasadena many years. But alas Florida is much more affordable, the sun/warm weather cost less per pound than it costs in SOCAL Bet Colorado Blvd. was a blast.
