I was thinking the same thing. I also did not know that 3 window's were made in '42. Are you sure on the year?

  7. They seem to respond well to a few custom treatments.

If you want a custom taildrager with a big ass the zephyr is for you

I stand corrected. That sure looks like a 3 window. :)

I like the look of the grille on the '41 and earlier better but the picture from the side that OoltewasSpeedShop posted looks nice.

  12. My guide lists a 3P coupe with a low end of $1500 and a high end of $37,500. Assuming you're describing a car that cleaned up you wouldn't be embarassed to show, $7500-$10,000 is probably in the right ballpark.

  20. I have no idea of actual value. I would have to get uo close and personal with it before I made an offer. If I tell you what I think it would be worth to me sight unseen everyone is going to laigh.

I would like to have one just because it is a slight oddity. Is the cad 8 a flatty or a valve in head?

  21. If it truly is a '42 it is very rare as production was halted on February 10th due to the war. Only 253 were made and at one point only 5 were known to exist. The NADA guide is a joke on this car due to the rarity. One did sell at Barrett not long ago for north of $40k

R U sure it's a caddy engine? I remember a Lincoln in Waycross, Ga. many moons ago that had been converted to a flathead V-8 and a long shaft with pillow blocks, etc. on minature effiel (sp?) tower pedestals for fan. Had solid motor mounts to keep everything aligned. A real "Rube Goldberg" but shoulda, coulda, woulda bought it cheap (1978 time frame) but, did not.

There were 253 Club Coupes made for '42 model year, but the Club Coupes were five-window.

There were 1,236 3P coupes built for '42 model year.
