Here's some I had saved from various sites.

Would love to see more of the orange 32-34 peeking out behind the Champion Speed shop roadster!

As always, the perfect RPU. Would have been nice in color. Doesn't it look like it's on the freeway going somewhere. How often did you wear the mask?

  16. Only wore the mask at Riverside on the 1/2 mile. In that shot, taken by the late Don Cummins, I was approaching the lights at over 140. Got splatted by a bug one time out there, and decided a mask at that speed was a good idea.

YouTube.Com, and look up "Oklahoma Farm Truck". Had a friend in high school who used to drive his dads 53 Ford half ton around; even had a small canopy on it. It also had a full house, dual quad, 394 Oldsmobile engine and B & M Hydro Stick trans. The kicker is, it was his dads tow car for his drag Hudson! Butch/56sedandelivery.

  27. This shot was early in the roadsters hot rod life, late 1961, at an SCTA 1/2 mile meet at Riverside. The car was in transition. I was saving my pennies for Halibrands. Bought 'em 2 at a time. Still had the stock 283 fuelie long block motor. It ran around 123 that day. 5 years later the car was running 123 in the 1/4 mile, and almost 145 in the 1/2 mile. God I miss those days and that hot rod. [IMG]

The blue '32 Ford pickup gasser with the blown early Olds, in the 1st set of photos, was an old gasser found by one of the Rusty Nuts and was shown at the Jalopyrama in 2010. There is a plastic model of this truck in the display case at the NHRA Museum in Pomona. The original builder, Guy Hawkins (MD.), was re-united with the truck when we pulled it out of hibernation and taken to Annapolis, Md. for the Jalopyrama in October 2010.
