KINGDON Drags looks like a GREAT TIME! Was going to take my HOT ROD.......but may just cruise on up in my 'NEW' '69 Buick 225

 

Its a trailer park entrance no shit the concrete surface that held the chizlers 204mph pass is a trailerpark entrance as you turn off the road the main street through the place is the strip and at the end of the street there is alot of sand in front of a fence seperating it from a field! We have Sikeston,Mo 1/8 mi track and thats all I know of plus a few good stoplights.

I wanted to bump this thread for any updates or additions. I want to see if I can visit some with my Twin Engine Dragster this summer when I make a loop from Ca to Mokan the up to Washington and back. Rocky

There is a 1/8th mile strip on Hwy 36 west of cameron, MO. They say the shutdown area is real short so don't go too fast.

Unfortunately the remaining owner of Sunset passed away 2 months ago. His widow has sold her half of the track, and it will no longer be a drag strip anymore. It was a great 52 year run while it lasted.

 

Barona 1/8 mile just east of San Diego.

Very "out of the way" strip in Kaleva, MI. It's just about 30 miles south of Traverse City and they run 1/8 mile. Little country style hole in woods last time I was there.

Un-sanctioned in Washington State: West End Thunder at the Forks Municipal Airport, the "1/8" mile at the Evergreen Speedway Front Straight-A-Way ihn Monroe (really just under 1/8 mile-they start and shut down on BANKED surfaces!), one that's held at The Dalles Airport on the Columbia River in Washington, and Riverdale Raceway in Toutle. The others, Pacific Raceways, Spokane County Raceways, Walla Walla Dragstrip, and Bremerton Raceway are ALL NHRA sanctioned. Butch/56sedandelivery.

 

Winterport dragway is an "outlaw" track.

 

Sad to report that the Wall Dragway near San Angelo, Tx closed up last year with no plans to reopen...but we're working on that.

Sure quite a few. Two of the biggest are the Long Island Expressway and if your feeling real ballsy, the Southern State Parkway.

 

I'm sorry to hear that. I just looked at this thread for the first time today, didn't realise at first it was a couple years old. Saw Wall listed on the first page and thought cool, I'll have to try and go there for a race, not that far and I have 2 brothers that live in San Angelo. Would of been fun.

No Limit Raceway, formaly US 41 International Raceway, in Moroco IN. I loved racing there before the old man passed away, but here things are real shady there now. Its to bad, as this was a good 1/4 mile facility with lots of shutdown.
