I just wanted to say a big thanks to Lynn Pew and Bob O for helping me out on the recent purchase of my '40 Coupe. I bought the car from Bob...Lynn put me on to him, and they both went out of their way to make the deal as transparent as possible. Genuine enthusiasts, genuine rulers. If you don't know Lynn you should check out his blog www.pewsplace.com The car is awesome. This last weekend i put 340 miles on it.
Nice '40. Small world. Lynn Pew came by my office (Dublin, CA) on business a few times, back in the 90's. Very nice guy. I'll have to mention this to Mike Patania, the next time I see him.
Yes the scenery was beautiful...its in the Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne. Tires are 5.60-15's and 8.20-15's.
Hhhhhmmmmm Maybe we need to open the entry to the reliability run to 1940 models, as there are a bunch of bitchen 40 models coming into the country at present . Nice ride - has it a flathead ?
Thanks Tommy! Yes...stock 40 motor (221) with a 12 volt conversion....and yes you should bring your cutoff from '36 up to '40...no hard feelings if you don't though .
Thanks for the kind words Dave. I am happy you like your 40 coupe. You have driven it farther than the last two owners did. I must visit your country next year. Lynn
At first glance I thought "hey man your on the wrong side of the road?" I did not realise your are down under. The left hand steering through me. great looking coupe!
Man, sweeter than a x-mas sugar cookie, please keep the red wheels. That is a knockout 40, Congrats, and I see you are doing the right thing, drivin the wheels off from it. Cool! Nuthin like bros helpin bros. ~sololobo~
