i wish i took this photo. i found it Rik's site and had to see it in black and white. Its a timeless car and photo. I'll have to keep working on my photos to get them just right.
WOW Jeff not sure how I missed you posting this but that is a great picture!! Looks like something Marcia or George could have taken back in the day. Perfect. P.S. You need to post some pictures of your car as it was getting built someday.
Thanks for the compliment^^^^. I was just messin with my old cell phone And I thought the picture looked kind of old.Besides that, I was trying to get the thread goin.
HISTORY LESSON TIME !!!! Look these guys build cars that were CLASSY not TRASHY. Maybe for people will start building CLASSY CUSTOMS again.
Whos building TRASHY customs? all the cars i see in magazines look cool as hell. OOOOH if its not up to your standards it must be trashy.
Well a handful of us on here are not about THE SCENE. We are not trying to be cool and follow whats going on in the shit magazines like Ol' Skool Rodz, CK Deluxe, Rebel Rodz and im sure there is more out there. I am about the CARS! So im sure your style of scenester cars isnt for me. Its about the style cars.
Ignore this clown (BIG GUNNS) Bickford 2 out of his 4 posts have been smart ass comments trying to stir up shit.
here it is!! The 41 chevy peaking out on the right side is Dick Arkline's. I've talked with him a couple of times.
BIG GUNS ..... this thread might not be all your taste, you might find some of these cars simple and plain.
Here's one, I built in the '90's a '41 Ford early custom style, it was a Top One Hundred R&C car in 2001. CRUISER Here's another, I'm building with friends help a '52 Chevy in the Larry Watson style.
That trim looks to me to be off of a '53, which you could buy in those days as early as September of 1952... I believe it fits here... please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm wrong a lot these days ...
