Dammit, Dawie... Have YOU ever had coffee come out your nose??? Time hasn't made that thing ANY "cooler"...
your right, that blue does look cool.!! lol. man that car couldnr ever be ugly, homely maybe but never ugly.
I'm guessing MGA MkII. The original lines are great, and the custom work only makes them better IMO. Mike
I always thought the '46 - '47 Nashes were pretty ugly, as well as the '51 - '52 Nash Statesman sedan. A 1941 - 1947 Oldsmobile front end is downright ugly, too. That "jailcell" grill on the Ford trucks - I agree, ugly! I've always wanted to put a pair of hands, wrapped around the outer bars, and stick a long nose out the center. Drive around a bit.
Hey Mark, NOT ugly, but very kool! I can't deside which one I like more, & talk about factory kustoms? I sold off my '61 Fury, but still have my '62 Dart post. Most who grew up on GMs & Blue Ovals never got Exner's styling "Humpty Dumpty was pushed''
Correct and it also has a GM V6 in it. Nothing to do with me, just took the photos at the St.Paul World of Wheels last March.
I really wanted a wagon after we had more kids, no we have a 56 9 passenger belair. I took the ranger to a swap meet last nov. All I got was nice car, for an Edsel. The first trade offer I had I took. It was for a 49 fleetline chevy. The car was kind of a terd, but it wasn't an edsel! I drove the edsel as a daily for 3 years. I didn't get it painted until about 4 months before I sold it. In fact we bought the chevy wagon while the sledsel was in the paint shop.
I must admit,at a time in my life,I guess I thought most of these cars were ugly in genral but now I like them,a few of these I still think is a ugly body style but thats what makes them cool. (The 4 door 60 chev pictured is a car I really like)
Ive always had a soft spot for these trucks. I remember an article in american rodder or custom rodder in the late 80s or early 90s about a guy that drove baja mexico in an old ford truck. I think he called it an ugly lizard. To this day if Im with my dad and we see one we will say hey theres an ugly lizard.
I like the idea of this thread - once you get past the half empty glass full of piss. Let us see if there is life beyond a 1932 Ford juice.
