What is the coolest lookin car, from the ugliest lookin body style you have ever seen? I remember a off topic late 60s green 4 door pontiac at Carl Caspers Custom auto show in louisville, from when I was a kid, that was pretty slick. I have been thinkin for a while of how cool the unlikely suspect of about a 60 4 door flat top corvair would be with the rite equipment. What have you seen? Got any pics? Winter is starting to set in....
After searching the net,I found this little dude,Normally they are not really my cup of tea but this one is pretty neat. Its a 50 crosley with a flathead V8
Anyone know what a "Vanguard" was? Used to be heaps of them around down here, and i owned several as a young man. They came with four or six cylinders, and i think Fordson tractors used the four cylinder for a time. I always thought of them as ugly, but remember seeing one hot rodded years ago. It looked great. I havent seen one for a long time.
I have also seen some mid 60s pontiacs etc like this one in recent years that looked pretty good with the rite wheels. The one that I remember at Carl Caspers was around a 68 (a uglier bodystyle)
I think a Henry J is a perfect example. Kind of homely stock but radius the wheelwells for big tires and throw a straight axle under the front and they're instant hot rod. Blue
There is a fellow HAMBer (who's name eludes me now) that has a kick ass Kaiser that was featured in Hot Rod Magazine. If anyone knows who I'm talking about- please post a pic of his ride!
The MGB was not ugly to begin with but the makeover is neat. Here is another in the same vane, but I'll let you guess what it was made over from.
